Make your own one of a kind inlay plate with unit65! Think of it like collaging with clay.
This is a great intro to working with colored clay and an excuse to get out of the house and learn something new in one of our fav local shops Union!
In this workshop I will provide you with enough white clay and a couple balls of colored clay as well as fun shape cutouts to create your own one of a kind 6” ceramic plate in one of my signature styles. No prior clay experience is necessary.
I will fire your plate and glaze with a clear glaze at my home studio in LA and drop it off at UNION for you to pickup around 2-3 weeks after the class. You will get an email when they are ready:) These will be food and dishwasher safe!!!
I suggest wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty from the clay
Class Includes:
300 gr off-white house stoneware
2 x 100 gr colored clay (additional colored clay balls can be purchased for $10/each)
Use of all tools needed during class : wooden sticks , wire clay cutter , canvas, sponge, needle tool, exacto knife, metal rib tool
firing service of one 6” plate
*additional pieces can be fired and kept with the scraps of your clay for $15/piece
