Nerikomi marbled clay Workshop
Learn how to make nerikomi with me! No prior clay experience is necessary.
Color combos change each class and all photos are examples of past students work from the class! :)
In this 2 hour class I will provide you with a clay kit and instructions to create one of a kind patterned ceramics. Please note this is in person in my home studio in Seattle, WA.
I will show you how to make multiple patterns and then we will spend the 2nd half making things with our clay.
Examples of things to make include soap and jewelry dishes, incense holders, small plates and bowls!
Class includes 2 pieces and additional pieces may be fired and glazed for $10/each.
I will fire everything and glaze with a clear glaze. You will be able to pick up your pieces aprox 3-4 weeks after the class.
Please note that the class takes place in my garage studio, which means there is no restroom available during the class. I suggest that you wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty from the clay.
Bring whatever you may like to drink. I also have a fridge full of drinks that you are welcome to:)
I also offer students 10% off any unit65 pieces purchased day of class!!

700 gr off-white house stoneware
3 × 150 gr colored clay
Use of all tools needed during class : wooden sticks , wire clay cutter , canvas, sponge, needle tool, exacto knife, metal rib tool
firing service of 2 smaller pieces
*additional pieces may be kept at the rate of $10/piece

Another thing to note with ceramics and learning something new is that not everything will always survive dry time and two kiln firings. enjoy the process and be kind to yourself!
